Founded in 2025, the Seattle Yacht Club Historic Preservation Foundation (SYCHPF) is currently raising funds for grants with the goal of maintaining, restoring, and preserving the Mainstation building. The first project has not yet been selected. See our long-term vision for projects below. 

What types of projects do you fund?

The IRS generally identifies eligible expenditures as those that relate to the building’s structural and architectural features and may include:

As projects are developed, they will be vetted to assure that the funds expended meet the IRS requirements.

How do you approve projects?

The SYCHPF Board of Directors has a governance model for the application, review, and approval process
for grants.

Every gift goes directly to preservation, restoration, and maintenance

Major funding is required to ensure that these historic properties are preserved for future generations. Their ongoing restoration and maintenance are made possible by the Seattle Yacht Club Historic Preservation Foundation through your generous support.
